Mrs. Kvinta, Counselor
Counseling on the Yoakum Primary Campus is seen in many different forms on our campus. Below is a list of the different ways that Mrs. Kvinta reaches our students.
- Weekly guidance for each class as a whole with a specific curriculum
- Weekly counseling groups, small groups of students with specific topics of discussion (social skills, anger management etc.)
- Weekly individual student counseling sessions
- Lunch Bunch - teacher selected students that get to eat lunch with the counselor - student is selected based on good behavior
- Lunch with the Bulldogs (2nd grade students selected in the classroom for excellent behavior to eat lunch with varsity athletes to promote positive behavior)
- Guys with Ties - weekly lessons focus on leadership qualities, with community influences and expectations of being a good leader. Students learn about etiquette, manners, social and campus expectations.
